Megawide Construction Corporation has sold its remaining stake in GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corp. , the developer and operator of Mactan-Cebu International Airport , to Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. , allowing the latter to have full control of the internationally acclaimed gateway.In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday, Megawide announced that, in accordance with its September 2022 agreement with AIC, it unloaded its remaining 33.

Megawide said the final closing will reduce the company’s outstanding current liabilities and boost its liquidity position.
