Julie Rose, of O’Leary, P.E.I., has created a business where she features her own woodworking as well as the work of 35 other Island artisans.O'LEARY, P.E.I. — Julie Rose has been making things since she was young. She has always been a creative person, having done many crafts, including painting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.Although Rose took cabinetmaking at Canadore College in North Bay, Ont., she also gained her woodworking skills through hands-on experience.
Through this business, Rose makes and hand paints original items out of wood, including signs, lighthouses, ornaments, buoys, and tables.
