With the Filipino palate favoring sweet flavors from delicacies to signature sips, there’s more to love with the latest addition to Jacob’s Creek Dots range including Moscato and Moscato Rosé. Meet Cherry Red.
“Jacob’s Creek has something for everybody even if you’re not a seasoned wine drinker,” muses Jacob’s Creek Brand Executive Kurt Ducusin. “Cherry Red is breaking away from red wine expectations: it is semi-sweet, approachable, playful, and it does not follow the codes of red wine. We believe it is a wonderful starter wine that fits well with Filipinos’ discerning taste.”
For its recent launch held at Manila House, Jacob’s Creek invited wine ambassador Billy Brigham, who flew all the way from Bangkok, Thailand, to share the ingredients and craft in making the Cherry Red variant, as well as the rich history of Jacob’s Creek that spans 160 years of expert winemaking. Joining Billy at the launch event were Pernod Ricard‘s marketing head Tony Atayde and managing director Fadil Tasgin.
“I think that the semi sweetness and the style of the wine that we’re choosing is key to appealing to the Filipino palate. So the way that we make the Cherry Red, we stop the fermentation a little bit earlier to keep this residual sugar in, which I think really goes into the Filipino style of cuisine and the palate,” says wine ambassador Billy Brigham during the media event.
Jacob’s Creek Cherry Red retails for P500, and is available in leading supermarkets and e-commerce sites like Boozy.ph, Drinkies.ph, Wine Manila, Drizly.com, Boozeshop.ph, Winery.ph, and many more.
