After a pair of 2-1 victories in the first two rounds of the single elimination bracket, RRQ Kaito defeated reigning M5 World Champion Falcons APBren in the semifinals and Smart Omega in the Finals. Signs of the upset were already on the wall as early as Game 1 as RRQ Kaito managed to survive a strong start from the MPL Philippines Season 13 finalist.
