KUALA LUMPUR: It will be a straight fight for the party's top post as MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and former central committee member Tan Chong Seng are vying for the post of MCA president in the party polls next month.
KUALA LUMPUR: It will be a straight fight for the party's top post as MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and former central committee member Tan Chong Seng are vying for the post of MCA president in the party polls later this month.
Both the positions of party deputy president and Wanita MCA deputy chief saw only one contestant respectively. Wanita MCA chief Wong You Fong is defending her post, going up against Datuk Ooi Siew Kim, who is a former Wanita secretary-general.They are incumbents Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, Datuk Lim Ban Hong and Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker, and newcomers Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng, Datuk Lawrence Low, Datuk Nicole Wong Siaw Ting and Dr Pamela Yong.
The party polls would involve a total of 5,089 central delegates, comprising 2,278 central party, 1,066 youth and 1,745 women delegates.
