The Mazda CX-80, a new midsize SUV, made its debut at the 2025 Singapore Motorshow. This three-row SUV offers a 7-seater (or 6-seater) option and boasts a powerful e-Skyactiv PHEV powertrain.

The bigger Mazda CX-60, or the smaller CX-90 is finally in the ASEAN region. After releasing a teaser back in April 2024, the Mazda CX-80 made its grand debut at the 2025 Singapore Motorshow. The CX-80 adds to Mazda’s range of SUV s, and gives customers more flexibility in terms of seating capacity, and overall size. The CX-90 used to be Mazda’s lone offering in the three-row SUV segment, now the CX-80 joins the lineup with a seven (or six) passenger capacity.

\The new CX-80 also bolsters Mazda’s range of PHEVs. Its e-Skyactiv PHEV powertrain is comprised of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and a 17.8kWh battery. Combining its electric and gas power, the CX-80 pushes an impressive 300hp and 527Nm of torque. It shifts with an eight-speed automatic and comes standard with an AWD system. In terms of size, the CX-80 measures in at 4,995mm long, 1,890mm wide, and 1,705mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,120mm. For comparison, that would slide right in the middle of the CX-60, and CX-90. The former measures 4,740mm in length while the latter extends to 5,120mm long. If you’re looking for a seven-seater in the midsize SUV segment, then let’s hope Mazda brings this over to the our local market. \The cabin is as clean and luxurious as you would expect from a Mazda. The seats are dressed in Nappa leather, while the driver gets especially treated to a new headup display (HUD) and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. However, the marquee of the CX-80’s interior is in Mazda’s new software. Dubbed, ‘Driver Personalization System,’ (DPS) it essentially saves different configurations of the seat adjustment, steering wheel height, and preferred climate control from different drivers. It’s not an entirely new feature, but Mazda has added facial recognition to make the DPS operate seamlessly between drivers
