Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval hailed the people’s support as they key factor in her achievements on health, housing, and livelihood during her first 100 days as the city’s chief executive at the Oreta Sports Complex in the city on Monday, Oct. 10.
“Isang daang araw na ang nakalipas mula nang maupo ako bilang inyong mayor . When the people of Malabon elected me as mayor, they didn’t just elect a person, they elect a group of people, and that group is you [city officials and employees]. Ang mga pangakong binitawan ko noong panahon ng kampanya ay hindi magagawa kung wala kayo ,” Sandoval said.
Sandoval also signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the housing program with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar. According to Sandoval, there are 868 newly registered persons with disabilities in the city, 76 of whom were given assistive devices.
Sandoval said that the four Super Health Centers in barangays Longos, Tonsuya, Potrero, and Catnom already served 154,250 patients. Around 6,577 individuals were given medical assistance while 18 were given assistance for their minor and major surgical operations.
