Estancia Mayor Mary Lynn "Chic" Mosqueda has lodged a complaint against her vice mayor and members of the municipal council for alleged abuse of authority and corruption, according to Atty. Oscar Tagamolila, the mayor's legal counsel.Mosqueda has complained against Estancia Vice Mayor Mark Joseph Cordero and nine members of the Sangguniang Bayan members, as well as the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president, the Liga ng mga Barangay president, and the SB secretariat.
The complaint was filed at the Office of Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas.According to Atty. Tagamolila, the mayor found questionable budget allocations, slashes, redactions, among others.Tagamolila said that the officials could reportedly face administrative case for alleged abuse of authority, as well as criminal case for violation of Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
