Tory was met Wednesday morning by a swarm of media all asking the question at the top of everyone’s minds: when is he formally resigning as mayor of the largest city in the country.
Councillors who are urging Tory to stay and others who say he has lost the authority to govern also spoke to the media throng.
Asked what should force a politician to resign Nunziata, who was the only councillor to vote against stripping Ford of his powers at the depths of the crack cocaine scandal, said “a criminal act … what I'm saying is I think it's wrong for the mayor to resign. It was an error in judgment, all politicians make errors, but we don't resign."
