Following the Malabon-Navotas River navigational gate malfunction incident in July, Mayor Jeannie immediately coordinated with the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority who operated the floodgate for its immediate repair. The navigational gate was repaired and was again activated in September.
There are about 52 pumping stations in the city that are operated by the local government, DPWH and MMDA as of November this year.
