Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Saturday, April 9, said he was pushing for the extension of operations of the Manila Covid-19 Field Hospital for six more months.

CEBU CITY, Cebu —

Domagoso said the National Parks Development Committee already wrote a letter to them, asking for the demolition of the Manila Covid-19 Field Hospital. “Sinulatan na kami ng NPDC na baklasin na. Nakikisuyo pa kami na kung pwe-pwede, magkaroon tayo ng elbow room for six months. Para kung sakali, eh hindi naman natin masasabi kung tapos na ‘yung Covid-19 ,” Domagoso said in an ambush interview here.

“Also at the same time, the other side of the coin is, Covid infection started with one. And we still have a few thousand in the country. And it’s hard to build Covid hospital facility,” the Manila mayor said.“Pero we tried to inform them let it stay. Sayang sayang. It can save lives and lives. Thousands of lives. If not hundreds. Eh, life is life. Buhay ay mahalaga ,” he said.

Domagoso, meanwhile, cited that the City of Manila now only has less than a hundred Covid-19 active cases.
