Mayor Honey orders increased police visibility in Manila

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan ordered the intensified police visibility in the whole city during a command conference with all Police Community Precinct (PCP) Commanders of Manila Police District (MPD)held on Friday, Aug. 19.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan ordered the intensified police visibility in the whole city during a command conference with all Police Community Precinct Commanders of Manila Police District held on Friday, Aug. 19.Lacuna said the order was made to promote peace and order in their respective area of responsibilities.

During the conference, the Manila mayor also ordered the commanders to prioritize universities and campuses who have night classes due to increasing reports of robbery and theft. All public schools were also ordered to have at least one police desk as face-to-face classes resume on Monday, Aug. 22. Lacuna also ordered the police to monitor the strict implementation of the minimum health protocols and curfew throughout the city.
