BACOLOD CITY — San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo has requested the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate alleged irregularities in three flood control projects worth P306 million supposedly undertaken in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

BACOLOD CITY — San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo has requested the National Bureau of Investigation to investigate alleged irregularities in three flood control projects worth P306 million supposedly undertaken in San Carlos City , Negros Occidental.Gustilo said that the mayor’s office and the local office of the Department of Public Works and Highways have no knowledge of these projects.He also claimed that his signature was forged in the documents.

“The said projects did not undergo consultation or inspection by our local government since they were implemented and managed solely by the DPWH,” Gustilo said in a statement.“Our city has no involvement in the selection, study, planning, budgeting and implementation of the said projects.”The mayor added that the local government “is not responsible for providing accurate information regarding the national budget allocated for the said implementation.
