Maynilad Water Services Inc. said it is working with the University of the Philippines to advance research on emerging pollutants in Metro Manila’s water sources and wastewater systems.
The company said that while it consistently meets the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water, it recognizes the need to stay ahead of potential future risks. The research will also help Maynilad develop advanced treatment methods like UV photolysis and advanced oxidation to tackle potential emerging contaminants.
