Three people died following a landslide in Baguio City while 29,063 farmers and fisherfolk in Luzon and the Visayas suffered agriculture losses worth over ₱600 million amid the onslaught of tropical cyclone Maring, authorities said Wednesday.
For its part, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said a 33-year-old woman from Badoc, Ilocos Norte was confirmed missing. The agency is still validating 13 possible deaths, three injuries, and eight missing persons.Meanwhile, losses as of Wednesday stood at ₱608.5 million, the Department of Agriculture's disaster management unit said.
Maring affected 6,111 families or 21,511 individuals from Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Caraga and CAR, NDRRMC added.
