Marikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro signed a city ordinance on Friday, Oct. 29, granting amnesty on delinquent business tax payments.
“Walang multa o interes para sa mga hindi nabayarang business tax hanggang Dec. 31, 2021 ”, said Teodoro.
City Ordinance No. 089, Series of 2021, the “Tax Amnesty on Delinquent Business Tax Payment” gives business owners until Dec. 31 to pay their business tax through the City Treasurer’s office or through the Marikina Online Services without any incurred penalties Teodoro first announced the cancellation of penalty fees on Oct. 10 after several Marikina market stall owners informed him that they could not afford to pay their rent because of the financial burdens brought about by the pandemic.
