At the launch of the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s national tax campaign in Pasay City, Marcos called on the public to cooperate and collaborate with the government to improve the country’s tax collection system.
Marcos has assured the public that his administration would consistently use taxes to benefit everyone. For his part, BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. vowed to stay vigilant in punishing tax evaders. The bureau is actively enforcing legislation to make sure everyone pays what they owe, he said.
