President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Tuesday congratulated United States President Donald Trump after the latter was sworn into power, saying that he looks forward to working closely with the Republican's administration.''Congratulations to POTUS @realdonaldtrump and to the American people on another peaceful transfer of power in their Nation’s nearly 250-year history," Marcos said in a brief statement.
Trump was sworn in as US president on Monday. The inauguration completed a triumphant comeback for Trump, who survived two impeachment trials, a felony conviction, two assassination attempts, and an indictment for attempting to overturn his 2020 election loss.
