“Allow me to just send my best and strongest and most fervent good luck, wishes to our women’s football team who have managed to reach the finals and are now vying for the championship of the Asean Football Federation Finals,” the President said in his message. ” Ako at ang buong Pilipinas ay nasa likod ninyo . And we will be watching and waiting for the good result for which we will be congratulating you for. Good luck to you and I am sure you will do very well,” the President added.as the first national football team to reach the finals of a major international competition.
Marcos also paid tribute to the national team, saying that by reaching the championship, they have proven that Filipino athletes are really excellent. He also expressed optimism that they will bag the championship.
