President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said some of the new sites being targeted to host American troops under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) would be in Palawan and in the northern and southern portions of the Philippines.

"We'll make a formal announcement. But yes, they have been identified," Marcos said, adding they would just coordinate first with American authorities. Meanwhile, Marcos said his administration has already reached to local government units that expressed apprehension on establishing EDCA sites in their localities.
