MANILA, Philippines: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday left Manila to attend a 'historic' cooperation summit with United States President Joe Biden and Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Washington D.C.This was how the President described his meeting with the two leaders in his departure speech, saying it is 'aimed at advancing trilateral cooperation between our three countries, which have long enjoyed warm and friendly relations, and robust cooperation.
''I intend to explore ways of advancing cooperation, especially in the areas of critical infrastructure, semiconductors, digitalization and cybersecurity, critical minerals, renewable energy, as well as defense and maritime cooperation,' Marcos said.
