He led the turnover of 3,517 climate-resilient housing units to Typhoon Yolanda survivors in Eastern Visayas as part of the government’s recovery program.“Today, we’re handing over over 3,500 homes in Leyte, Samar, and Biliran,” Mr. Marcos said. 1,963 units have been turned over to beneficiaries so far, with more ready for occupancy in towns like Cool Spring Residences, Marabut Ville, and Culaba Housing Project.The President emphasized the disaster-resilient design of the housing units, which are built to withstand extreme weather conditions and natural calamities.

The government, through agencies like the National Housing Authority and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development , is committed to ensuring the housing units remain sustainable and safe.
