President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the fourth housing resettlement project dubbed “Disiplina Village” in Valenzuela City. | DYGalvezINQ

He urged the local government and the beneficiaries of the city’s local housing project to keep their homes in order to ensure peace in the community.

“Tiyakin natin na ang mga maninirahan dito ay magkakaroon ng sapat na oportunidad upang makapag-hanapbuhay at magkaroon ng pagkakakitaan gamit ang kanilang mga talento at kasanayan,” the President said. Marcos said the Valenzuela City government should partner with other government agencies and the private sector to complete the housing project and ensure that the buildings will be strong and of good quality.

He added that the government is still studying how it can identify and use public land to build housing projects. “Patuloy nating pinag-aaralan kung paano isasagawa ang pagtukoy at paggamit sa mga bakanteng lupa ng gobyerno na maaaring tayuan ng mga pabahay, ayon sa ating mga batas at alituntunin,” the President said.The housing project in Valenzuela City will be developed on a total land area of 20,709 square meters and will consist of 20 five-story medium-rise buildings with 1,200 housing units.
