President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday said military exercises with other countries would help in ensuring stability in the West Philippine Sea .In an ambush interview, Marcos said the exercises would also guarantee freedom of navigation in the resource-rich region.
On Friday, the joint military exercise called "Balikatan" between the Philippines and the United States officially ended.The two countries were joined by France as they conducted a multilateral maritime exercise in the West Philippine Sea as part of this year’s Balikatan exercises.The Armed Forces of the Philippines sent 5,000 personnel, mainly from Northern Luzon Command and Western Command , to join the activities.
