PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Tuesday evening arrived in Beijing, China for a three-day state visit.PR001, the chartered flight carrying the President and the entire Philippine delegation, landed in Beijing at around 6:10 p.m., Malacañang said. The President's state visit from January 3 to 5 is upon the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
His activities will begin on Wednesday, with successive meetings with Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, as well as with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, and President Xi.Xi will then host a state banquet for his Philippine counterpart.This will be the second meeting between the two leaders after their meeting in Thailand last November on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
