Nagsampa ng electoral protest ang kampo ni Marcos sa Korte Suprema na umuupo bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal noong Hunyo 2016. Sabi niya, dinaya raw siya ni Robredo.
Pinapili si Marcos kung saan siya magpapa-initial recount. Ayon sa Korte Suprema, dapat makita sa mga probinsiya ang ebidensya ng dayaan bago titingnan ang iba pang mga lugar. Tatlo ang probinsiyang pinili ni Marcos: Camarines Sur, Negros Oriental, at Iloilo.ni Robredo kay Marcos Jr. May isa pang hirit si Marcos, pati na rin ang Marcos loyalist na si Solicitor General Jose Calida, at ito ay ang silipin ng Korte Supreme ang mga boto sa Maguindanao, Basilan, at Lanao del Sur. Hindi lamang simpleng recount ang nais nila kundi annulment of election o tila pagbura ng lahat ng mga boto.
