President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has recognized the outgoing ambassador of Singapore to the Philippines for his contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations of both nations.During a farewell call on Tuesday, May 16, Marcos thanked Ambassador Gerard Ho Wei Hong and granted him the silver distinction of the Order of Sikatuna.
"We thanked our dear friend, H.E. Gerard Ho Wei Hong, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Philippines, as we conferred upon him the Order of Sikatuna with the Rank of Datu, Silver Distinction, in recognition of his instrumental role in effecting many milestones in our bilateral ties," Marcos said on Wednesday.Wong is the incoming Permanent Representative of Singapore to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Jakarta.
