President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday assured Sulu residents that the government has been pushing for the immediate implementation of the P100-million Jolo Airport Development Project.During the distribution of presidential aid to farmers and fisherfolks in the province, Marcos said all aspects of the development project are being mapped out so that the construction can start sooner.
The airport's development project includes the construction of a Passenger Terminal Building, perimeter fence, administration building, relocation/construction of fire station building, site acquisition for its runway extension, and correction of runway strip width.The processing of the Memorandum of Agreement with the provincial government for project implementation is ongoing.
