President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. extended his deepest condolences to Iranians and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the untimely deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi and several officials.
“We offer our deepest condolences to the people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially to the families and loved ones of the late President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions in this tragic incident,” Mr. Marcos said. The tragic incident occurred when the helicopter carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, and several other officials crashed amid adverse weather conditions on Monday.
