Bongbong Marcos, Sara Duterte-Carpio sweep electoral polls
PRESIDENTIAL candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, are sweeping election surveys after they again topped the latest poll fielded by the Octa Research group.Of the respondents, 58 percent said they would vote for Marcos, while 25 percent preferred his top rival, Vice President Leni Robredo.
In the vice presidential post, Duterte-Carpio kept the lead with 56 percent, although her score decreased by one percent from result of the previous survey conducted by the group. Following Duterte-Carpio in the survey were Senate President Vicente Sotto III with 22 percent and Senator Francis Pangilinan with 16 percent.
Marcos and Duterte-Carpio also lead other electoral surveys, particularly those conducted by Pulse Asia. Among the senatorial candidates who have high chance of entering the top 12 based on the Octa survey were the following candidates:* Antique Representative Loren Legarda* Actor Robin Padilla
