PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Saturday assured families displaced by a recent fire on Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, Manila, that the government would rebuild their houses in time for Christmas; if not, he would host a party for them in the evacuation center.
Marcos made the remark while distributing P21 million in financial aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development to fire victims.During his visit to the Rosario Almario Elementary School in Tondo, Manila, the president said the national and local governments would work closely together to bring all the victims' needs.
