MANILA, Philippines — A week before the start of the campaign period for the 2025 midterm elections, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his confidence over the chances of the administration-backed candidates of winning all 12 senatorial seats in the upcoming polls.
In his speech during the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas Leaders' Convergence Summit in Manila on Friday, Marcos said his own political party has the 'best candidates' and the 'strongest party' in the upcoming midterm elections.'What we want to be the result — of course, we always think it should be first, in the Senate 12-0, that's what we're after,' the President said.
As long as we in the PFP leadership say no, none of our candidates will lose because they are the best,' he said.The President also said that they intended to add more people to the party to help the administration develop and implement their plans for the country.'And expect that the PFP is the strongest party in the country today,' Marcos said, as he also wished the candidates good luck as they were about to start their campaign next month.
