President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Friday praised local government units for their creativity and resourcefulness at the 2024 Galing Pook Awards, which honored 10 outstanding local governance programs.
“These programs prove that when local leaders rise to the occasion, real change can happen,” President Marcos said. He also stressed the importance of community participation in governance, saying it empowers citizens to influence and assess government decisions.
