PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has approved the postponement of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections from December 2022 to October 2023.

RA 11935 also stated that the term of office of the barangay and SK officials “elected under this Act shall commence at noon of November 30 next following their election.” The law also stated that the amount needed for the implementation of RA 11935 shall be taken from the appropriations of the Commission on Elections under the General Appropriations Act.
