PRESIDENTIAL candidate Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said he was still hopeful that President Rodrigo Duterte would still give his endorsement 'to solidify the administration' ahead of the May national polls.During the Kapihan sa Manila Bay news forum, Marcos said he is still waiting for the formal endorsement, even though the President had said that he preferred another lawyer to be his successor.
The survey frontrunner's remark came as Duterte had said that a decisive, compassionate lawyer is an ideal president of the country.The President did not mention names but only Vice President Maria Leonor 'Leni' Robredo and Jose Montemayor are lawyers among those vying to be his successor via the elections on May 9.Asked if he is worried about the President's latest pronouncements, Marcos said, 'No.
