President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said Monday the proposal to adjust the working hours of national government agencies in Metro Manila is being studied, adding that it should be “practical” for commuters.In an ambush interview, Marcos said the matter should be discussed with commuters and not just traffic officials.“Yes, I saw that. Well, we’re studying it. If it works, we’ll do it.
“We also have to ask the commuting public kung practical para sa kanila . So if turns out that everyone agrees to it then I cannot see why it will be a problem,” he added.Earlier, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the working hours of national government agencies in the National Capital Region should be adjusted to 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to ease the traffic.Nearly two million employees are expected to avoid the surge of commuters during the usual peak of heavy traffic around 5 p.m.
