MANILA, Philippines: The rich are getting richer in the Philippines, with property mogul Manuel 'Manny' Villar continuing to sit on top of the country's billionaire list, Forbes said on Tuesday.Villar, who heads property developer Vista Land & Lifescapes, increased his net worth to $11 billion from $8.6 billion last year, which placed him first in the Philippines and 190th globally in Forbes' World Billionaires List for 2024.Ports and casino magnate Enrique Razon Jr.
's Andrew Tan ranked 11th with $2 billion, although this was down from $2.5 billion in 2023. He is 1,623rd in the world.Jollibee's Tony Tan Caktiong with $1.4 billion and Puregolds' Lucio and Susan Co with $1.2 billion and $1.1 billion, respectively, followed in 12th to 14th. The Cos are new entrants to the billionaires' list.Tan Caktiong is 2,152nd globally, Lucio Co 2410th, and Susan Co 2,545th.
