MANILA, Philippines – An iconic 40-year-old temple in Quezon City lit up on Friday evening, November 29, to kick off the Christmas season for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in this predominantly Catholic country. The Latter-day Saints, formerly known as the Mormons, held their annual Manila Temple Lighting on Friday. The celebration took place at their Manila Philippines Temple along White Plains, Quezon City, their first temple in the Philippines and their second in Asia.
