The Mandaue City Hall of Justice will be placed on lockdown starting Monday, June 15, following the death of a prosecutor who tested positive for COVID-19.
The lockdown of the HOJ, which will include all courts stationed at the Shinebright Building in Tipolo, Mandaue City, will be implemented until June 26, unless earlier lifted, according Mercedita Dadole-Ygnacio, executive judge of the city’s Regional Trial Court.
“Nevertheless, all Courts, both Regional Trial Courts and Municipal Trial Courts in Cities shall continue to operate and may be reached through its hotline, or access it through its email address during the lockdown period,” Ygnacio wrote in a memorandum.To date, the Philippines has logged a total of 25,930 COVID-19 cases, with 1,088 deaths and 5,954 recoveries.
