A man died in Cebu City after he was knocked down following a tension over a cellphone.According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the suspect wanted to redeem his cellphone from the victim. But the victim has already pawned it to somebody else, the report added. The victim’s response infuriated the suspect as CCTV footage from the Cebu City Police Station 2 showed that the latter kicked the motorcycle where the former was seated.
He was supposed to attack the victim further but he ran away after seeing the victim’s head bleeding, the report said. The suspect was immediately arrested after witnesses identified him. “Na-hot pursuit operation ng ating kapulisan yung suspek sa serious physical injury na kaso na finile natin sa kanya. At hinatid sa police station para ma-filean ng kaso,” said Police Major Mark Don Alfred Leanza, Cebu City Police Station 2 station commander. The suspect was sorry for what happened.
