A motorcycle rider died after he fell into a tunnel on Quezon Avenue in Quezon City early Saturday morning, July 2.
The Quezon City Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit said that the victim, Gerald Mangrobang, 45, a resident of Marikina City, died on the spot from head injuries.
Citing the claims of witnesses, Cpl. Kenneth Regufia of the DTEU Sector 5, investigator on case, told Manila Bulletin that the victim’s Yamaha Mio motorcycle suddenly hit a center island upon reaching the intersection of Quezon Avenue and EDSA in Barangay Pinyahan at around 3 a.m. on Saturday.Mangrobang’s helmet was removed upon impact, police said.
The investigator said that the victim’s body was brought to a morgue and they already contacted his family.
