A man was arrested by members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) after he allegedly snatched the bag of a former actress in Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City on Thursday evening, Oct. 20.

Lt. Col. Robert Amoranto, QCPD Kamuning Station commander, identified the suspect as Abdul Mohammad Bocua, 30, a resident of Barangay Holy Spirit, QC. Police said that the victim, Erica Davantes, also known as Hazel Espinosa, a former actress, was fixing her belongings at the back of her car in front of a clinic on Scout Tuazon Street in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 9 p.m. when the motorcycle-riding suspect suddenly snatched her bag containing two cellphones, an IPad Mini, a gold ring with stone, an identification card, receipts of business transactions, and some keys.
Responding police officers immediately conducted a follow-up operation and arrested the suspect in his house in Barangay Holy Spirit. Authorities recovered from the suspect the victim’s two cellphones worth P130,000 and her IPad Mini worth P42,000.
