The National Bureau of Investigation-Central Visayas Regional Office has arrested a man in Talisay City, Cebu for the rape of his minor stepdaughter, the agency said Wednesday.According to the agency, the NBI-CEVRO received information from a concerned citizen regarding the crime.The 13-year-old victim disclosed to her classmates that the man had constantly raped her since she was eight years old.
Due to this, NBI-CEVRO agents, along with representatives of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 and the Talisay City local government, conducted a rescue operation at their house on July 26.Following the rescue, the victim told the operatives that she was again raped by the suspect at about 2 a.m. on the same date.The operatives immediately arrested the individual upon his return.
