A 33-year-old man was arrested by operatives of the Kabankalan City Police Station for illegal possession of firearms in Purok Firetree, Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, at around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, December 9. The suspect was identified as Ian Malunes, a resident of the same village.
The police acted on a complaint alleging that Malunes was in possession of illegal firearms. During the search, authorities recovered a caliber .357 revolver without a serial number, loaded with five live rounds of .357 ammunition, along with 15 live rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, a holster, and a pouch. Malunes is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Kabankalan City Police Station.
