A 31-year-old man was arrested in Quezon City after escaping a police checkpoint. The man was initially flagged down for not wearing a helmet, but sped off when officers attempted to stop him, leading to a chase. Police apprehended him after he lost balance. Authorities recovered an unlicensed firearm, 54 grams of shabu worth P367,200, and 139 counterfeit P1,000 bills from the suspect. Investigation revealed that the suspect used counterfeit money for drug transactions and distributed illegal drugs in nearby cities. This is the suspect's fifth arrest.

Pero noong pagtapat, binirit niya ‘yung kanyang motor. ‘Yun ‘yung time nagsakayan ‘yung tropa sa kanya-kanyang motor then hinabol siya. Na-out of balance kaya siya nahuli roon,” ani Police Major Alfredo Agbuya Jr., ang officer-in-charge ng Novaliches Police Station.

Ikalimang beses nang naaresto ang suspek na dati nang nakasuhan ng pagnanakaw at frustrated murder sa Malabon. “Sa korte na lang po magsasalita. Lahat ng ano na ‘yan, hindi totoo ‘yon. Lahat. Doon na lang po ako magsasalita sa korte,” depensa ng suspek.
