A man has been arrested in connection with a physical attack in downtown Toronto that ended in a fatal hit and run leaving one man dead, police say.

In a news release Saturday evening, police said a 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident.Toronto police at the scene of a fatal hit and run near the corner of Queen and Sherbourne streets. Police identified the victim as Douglas James MacDonald, 54, of Toronto.MacDonald fled the area but was chased into the middle of Sherbourne Street, where he fell to the ground, police said.
