MANILA, Philippines — Nilagdaan na rin ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang New Phi­lippine Passport Act.

Nakapaloob din sa New Philippine Passport Act na ayusin ng DFA ang accommodation para sa regular passports ng senior citizens, PWDs, buntis, mga menor-de-edad na pitong taon pababa, solo parents, OFWs at indibiduwal na may emergency at exceptional cases.Paparusahan naman ang sinuman na walang legal authority na magkumpiska, magpanatili o magpigil ng pasaporte na inisyu ng DFA, ng hindi bababa sa 12 taong pagkakabilanggo at multa na hindi bababa sa P1 milyon o hindi tataas sa P2 milyon.
