The concealed 24 plastic pouches of ketamine and other contents of a parcel that arrived via the Clark International Airport from Malaysia.
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Authorities arrested on Tuesday a Malaysian-Chinese in Pasig City over some P10 million worth of ketamine sent via the Port of Clark. Glenn Guillermo, public information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon , said the 24 plastic pouches of ketamine with a combined weight of two kilograms were concealed inside three units of an acupoint massage twister.Ketamine is a powerful anesthetic that is also being used as a recreational drug to “get high.”
PDEA-3 identified the suspect as Thai Lian Shiong, 24, who was arrested in a condominium in Pasig City after accepting the package in a “controlled delivery operation” jointly conducted by the agency along with the Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, the Clark International Airport Drug Inter-Agency Task Group, the National Bureau of Investigation, and the local police.
