Malacañang refuses to divulge President’s official schedule, says it’s considered ‘secret information’

The public is unlikely to know the whereabouts of President Duterte every day after Malacañang has kept a tight a lid on his official schedule.Presidential spokesman Harry Roque has invoked the confidentiality rule behind the Palace’s decision not to release the President’s work schedule. He explained that the President’s schedule is considered “secret information.”

“In fact, I received a copy of the schedule and there is always a warning there that it’s considered as a secret information,” he said. “Abogado naman po ang Presidente, kung mayroon siyang seryosong karamdaman, ipagbibigay-alam niya sa publiko ,” he said. In his recent televised address, Duterte admitted that his Barrett’s esophagus, a complication of the reflux disease, was nearing stage one cancer.
