The local government of Makati City launched a mobile library that aims to provide access to learning materials and research services to students in the city.
“The Makati Mobile Library is a testament to our commitment to providing quality education in the city. By making books and educational materials easily accessible, we hope to inspire a love for reading and learning,” Mayor Abby Binay said in a press release issued on Monday.
She said the mobile library, launched at the Makati Elementary School, was part of the city's effort to meet its basic reading, writing, and arithmetic proficiency targets. She added that teachers and volunteers would be stationed with the mobile library to assist the student residents of Makati City.
